Staying motivated and healthy play a huge role in achieving your fitness goals and that is why we encourage you to take full advantage of our staff's expertise and the classes we offer. The image staff care about your success and can provide helpful advise. When you are planning your fitness schedule make sure you get the go ahead from your doctor and include cardio, strength and resistance training for overall fitness conditioning. If you have specific goals and need extra support, consider bringing a personal trainer into your fitness mix. Image has a staff of highly qualified personal trainers available to you and each offer a free one half hour assessment consultation. In planning for your success we have a few words of advice and a simple word of encouragement. BABY STEPS Set realistic goals for yourself and start with one small change at a time. Once that change has firmly become a part of your lifestyle...add another. You want lasting results and that often involves changing your habits, lifestyle and how you approach things. FORGIVENESS Life is crazy and there may be times when you lose your focus; count on that and have a plan in place for when it happens, because it will. If you miss your workout for 3 days, don't give up because you didn't stick perfectly to "the plan". Heads up, you are not perfect and you shouldn't take an all or nothing approach. When go off-track, catch yourself as quickly as you can and say "giddy-up, back we go"...give yourself permission to be human and forgive yourself. |
